Speculation: Reis on the Legion?

Chuck pointed out this Newsarama article on upcoming changes to Green Lantern, with emphasis added by me:

Ivan Reis, who's been the Green Lantern penciler since 2006, is now the artist on the Blackest Night mini-series, working months ahead with Johns for the July launch. And as Reis told Newsarama at New York Comic Con, the last issue of Blackest Night will mark the end of his run with the Green Lantern characters, although he said his next project (still unannounced) will reunite him with Johns.

"It is so much fun to work with Geoff. And if I can work with him for 10 years, I'll do it," Reis said.

Now, we've been told that former Legion artist Francis Manapul is the artist on the new Adventure Comics, which is supposedly Geoff Johns' next project. So either the Reis comment is for yet another new book for Johns, or Reis is replacing Manapul on Adventure.

I have no idea which (if either) of those is true, but that won't stop speculation. Anyone have any more info?

Maybe the new Barry Allen Flash book after Van Sciver does his six issues?

Although I'd take Reis on a Legion book in a second!

I think Adventure is probably going to have at least two stories ongoing with two regular artists since DC is big on "Co-Features" at the moment.

oh, boy! co-features! let's hope one of them is the atom and air-wave!

Similar to Timothy's suggestion regarding The Flash, the unannounced might project might be for Superman following "Secret Origin"

I'm surprised DC would put Manapul on a Legion story if they're trying to distance themselves at all from the last version. Reis is certainly a bigger name. I thought Flash though, too, when I first read that.

Hey, don't forget that it was Atom, Air Wave, and *Aquaman* as the co-features in Action whet it jumped from 35 cents to 40! We've been promised that he's coming back, too (although the one from Final Crisis was one from another universe or some such f---ed up thing).

Manapul is suppose to be one of a handful of "young guns" that DC have managed to get. If they don't give him work, chances are he'll eventually jump to Marvel.

manapul is exclusive to DC so he's not going to "jump ship". no matter what, he'll be working on SOME book, they know he's a hot property.
