Toywatch: No figures until 2008

Toy News International says the Legion line of action figures won't come out until 2008, according to an official-sounding person at Mattel. This apparently confirms what we heard last month after the Toy Fair.

It was announced by Mattel at last summer's(06) San Diego Comic Convention that they would be doing a line of toys based on the new Legion of Superheroes animated series. Well seeing that their [sic] was no sign of this new toyline at this year's American International Toy Fair in New York City which was held last month, we went to the folks at Mattel and asked them what the status of this line was. According to Dan Salazar from Mattel, this line will now see release in 2008.
