Blogroll update

Time for a periodic cleaning of the blogroll sidebar.

Out:

• Paul and John Review. John has moved over to Living Between Wednesdays, and the site isn't being updated any more.
  

In:

• Legione dei Super-Eroi, which (like the Omnicom) is all-Legion, all the time, all in Italian. Good job by Fabio “Mr. Kayak” Graziano! Looks like there's a lot there that I've missed for this site, so I'll have to dig through the last couple of months over there. Stuff to check out: the Heaven 4 Heroes modeler, a Mon-El costume redesign contest, and a benefit painting done by Francis Manapul with Superboy and the Legion. More later.
  
• It's OK, I'm a Senator! Recollections by v4-era Legion writer Tom Bierbaum about writing the Legion, reprinted from his various APAs over the years. More on this one later, too.
  
• Geoff Johns has his own site, apart from the message boards at comicbloc.com. He's a writer, too.
  

Legion of Substitute Podcasters

I'm not quite sure who these guys are Subs for, but there's a site that just went live that features Legion-oriented podcasts (mp3 files for downloading or streaming). They call themselves the Legion of Substitute Podcasters, and they can be found at http://www.legionofsubstitutepodcasters.com/. I've also added them to my blogroll on the left.

We’ve heard that people have a tough time understanding the Legion of Super Heroes. It’s hard to keep track of which Lad, Lass, Boy or Girl is which.

Let us make that a lot easier for you.

Join Paul French, Ric Croxton, Darren Nowell, and our mystery Legionnaire for a fun ride through the history of the future!

Super Future Friends

Found a new-ish Legion blog via a referrer link tonight: Super Future Friends, which (to me) sounds like what the Legion might be called in Japanese comics. Adriana and Kristen, the hosts, have prepared a periodic podcast that aims to discuss the Legion starting back in the day. So far they've got 6 episodes.

Hi! We are your Super Future Friends, your guides to the amazingly complicated and convoluted world of The Legion of Super-Heroes! We will be summarizing issues of the Legion and together we'll learn about this team of superheroes from the future!

I've added them to my blogroll at the right.

Blogroll update

Time to update the blogroll a bit.

For the Legion-centric blogs, two have gone silent (The Planetary Chance Machine and The Superhero Clubhouse). In their places, I'm adding Shanghalla, Paul and John Review, Francis Manapul's Art Journal 2.0, and of course, Blockade Boy.

Also, Superman Through the Ages is gone, so that's off the list, replaced with the Superman Homepage and ToonZone message boards for discussion of the Legion TV series (which, of course, is just over).

This is not a comprehensive list of blogs I like (which has a lot more), just a list of those that are dedicated to the Legion or have a significant component of Legion content. Let me know if I've missed any!

New Superhero Clubhouse

I added the new Superhero Clubhouse over on the right to the Legion blogroll.

Welcome to the Superhero Clubhouse, a Legion of Superheroes blog! The LoSH is a 31st century superhero group comprised of idealistic teenagers from across the galaxy! I'm Qulore Dox, the daughter of Brainiac 5, and I've decided to come back to the 21st century to explore the heroic deeds of the Legion and other superheroes in order to one day join the Legion myself.

She joins the handful of Legion-centric blogs on my Legion blogroll, to go along with Get-a-Life Boy's LSH Blog, the Legion Abstract, and The Planetary Chance Machine.

There's one big Legion-centric message board (Legion World) and one that's just starting out (The Legionaire), and many of the other forum sites have a dedicated or shared Legion board as a sub-section (ComicBloc, Comicboards, DC Comics, rec.arts.comics.dc.lsh, Superman Through the Ages, Television Without Pity, Legions of Gotham).

And of course, the Legion Wiki site.

It's been a long while since I maintained the old Legion of Super-Resources page, back when the Web was just websites (from around 1996-2002 or so). Rather than rehash and update that, I'll take suggestions from the audience. What are some good Legion websites out there that are current (or at least not terribly outdated)?
