Confirmed: Legion Renewed for Second Season!
Haven't seen this anywhere else in Comicsblogistan, but The Animation Guild's blog today reports on the state of animation at Warner Bros.:
Meanwhile, across the verdant San Fernando Valley in Sherman Oaks, Warners Animation receives the go-ahead for four new series, each with 13 episodes (I think those are the numbers.)
You've got your Legion of Super-Heroes. There's a new round of Shaggy and Scooby-Doo Getting a Clue (with Shag and the Scoobster getting some design makeovers.) The Batman comes flapping back into town, and those perennial favorites Tom and Jerry return in Tom and Jerry Tales. It will be nice to see Wanrer Animation get busier.
(I will note that Reed Solomon found the same blog post and commented on it before I saw the post, but hasn't mentioned it on "Reed Solomon Is Right and You Are Wrong" yet.)
Update 2/3: From Saturday's Comics Continuum:
The Batman and Legion of Super Heroes are all but certainties to return for the 2007-2008 television season on Kids' WB!, The Continuum has learned.
An announcement on the Kids' WB! new season is expected early next week, probably on Tuesday.
