This one is interesting, but too high-priced for me. Adams did about a dozen covers to Adventure Comics in 1968-69, you'll recall.

In case you haven't seen Rich Johnston's latest:

"ITEM! Yeah, so what happened with that Jim-Shooter-off-Legion thing? Industry gossip has the move down to the "Legion Of Three Worlds" series that trampled on what Shooter saw as his plans for his series. And, so, vamoose."

You can find it here: http://comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=16470

I'm a bit bummed. I liked Shooter's take on the threeboot (more than Waid's, certainly); on the other hand, I'd like to see the Lightning Saga Legion too. Of course, this is still just a rumor....

I have fond memories of a lot of the stories in the Neal Adams book...the Teen Titans stories stand out as a particular favorite of my long-lost youth...but I doubt (sudden lottery windfall notwithstanding) that I'll be ponying up the 120 bucks for 3 volumes of them.

Interesting that they're giving Shooter's arc a hardcover...I've liked it well enough but probably not enough to want to buy a hardcover collection.
