I hadn't seen the Adam Hughes cover yet, but it looks an awful lot like a blue pencil sketch by Jim Mooney that I bought from the man himself years ago. I wonder if AH's image was influenced by Mooney? (I got the feeling it was a picture that Mr. M had drawn many times before.)
And man, I wish I could afford original art these days...
Here's another one by Hembeck but you won't find it on eBay. I had him create this one specifically for me late last year. It is the prize of my collection.
